The Matthew M. Brennan Foundation

Saving America's Heroes
Picture

The Matthew M. Brennan Foundation is a non-profit movement founded in honor of our son, Matthew M. Brennan for America's soldiers.  Our goal is to educate, raise awareness, be an advocate and help advance and establish much needed solutions and resources that will proactively aid our veterans affected by Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) due to combat in the Iraq and Afghanistan war.

PTSD is a serious and life-threatening type of anxiety disorder that for decades has been a silent killer of our heroes.  PTSD is now being recognized as an unfortunate epidemic among thousands of U.S. military members who have and will continue to experience traumatic events brought about by war when serving our country.

Turning the pain of losing a loved one into purpose, we're preparing to change the rapidly rising statistics by  putting in place effective means of prevention. Our U.S. military service men and women sacrifice their life to protect our freedoms, we cannot put theirs at unnecessary risk by a lack of understanding or turning a blind eye to the aftermath of their honor.  We cannot continue to count those lost to PTSD.

On July 16, 2011, Matthew M. Brennan, our son and one of America's heroes was taken from us due to PTSD that was caused by serving in the Iraq war.  We will share more about Matthew's story, his foundation and our life-mission in Saving America's Heroes on this new website here at www.SavingAmericasHeroes.org
